Musician Bruce Springsteen is honored at the 9th annual Ellis Island Family Heritage Awards, Thursday, April 22, 2010. Springsteen's maternal grandfather Antonio Zerilli immigrated to America through Ellis Island from Italy in 1900. Also honored today were philanthropist Peter G. Peterson, Avon Chairman and CEO Andrea Jung and NBA All-star Dikembe Mutombo for their contributions to the American experience. Joining Bruce Springsteen is his mother Adele Springsteen, to his right, and his aunts.
